Colour schemes on magazines are typically similar colours in different shades, and they usually match the colour of the main image, but with brighter colours and highlights to make things stand out. On the first magazine, the colours used are different shades of blue with the flash a bright yellow to make it stand out for the audience. This is because if all of the colours where blue then the text would not stand out. On the second magazine, the students are wearing red and blue on a white background. These colours are then used in the text and mast head in order to create a together-looking cover. The cover lines are in black which are easy to read on the white background, and the lead article is in a bold yellow so it stands out on the page. This colour scheme does not look messy and all over the place yet the colours are not similar enough for it to be difficult to read. The third cover had a general colour scheme of blues and whites, which again makes the black text easy to read. The very white background helps the models clothes stand out a lot, whereas a dark or overpowering colourful background would make the model blend into the background.
